Event Electronic Entries For each Special event can you fill in the following blank forms (replacing the capitalised words with the relevant information) and email it to susfa[at]interfolk[dot]co[dot]uk and folk[at]waitrose[dot]com (hopefully one will get through!). The first is the simple 1 line entry to be used in the sussex diary and in your areas What's On section. The second is the event advert that you will get if if click on the one-liner. If you can't email it to me, just supply the information (there's no need to include the tags), hopefully typed in the same layout so it's clear to me what goes where (when doing it assume I'm as blind as a bat and extremely stupid and there shouldn't be any problem). FOLK SONG CLUBS - If you have regular guests (ie every other week) then just use the simple 1 line entry. Unless things get too much, these will appear in your areas What's On Section. You should appear as a regular entry 'with guest nights' anyway (let me know if you don't). Check that your clubs entry points to your website if you have one, otherwise we can put your guest list up in your main entry. However if you do have something which is truly a special event, go ahead and use the second one as well. [Note: I won't be able to cope if every week is a special event for every club!]. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's On: YOUR AREA

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT - Remember that whilst you and your friends may know what you mean by a 'Tea Dance', 'American Supper' or 'Playford Evening', many of the people out there do not. They need to be told what to expect at the event in layman's terms. Similarly whilst everyone you know, knows 'fred the caller', someone reading this may not. So brief information on them would be useful, even if its 'fred needs no introduction as he's been a long term favourite with the club'. There is no limitation on the amount of text. We won't add pictures/logos to the events page as it will get too large for people on dial-up EXAMPLE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What's On: Bognor Regis

Greek Folk Dance Day Workshop

Greek Folk Dance Day Workshop

Maggie O'Regan
10:30 - 4:30am Sat 21st January 2005

Lower School Hall, School Lane, Rose Green, Bognor Regis, West Sussex

Maggie O'Regan will be teaching a number of Greek folk dances in depth. Some of these will be simple and easily learnt whilst one or two will be more tricky. Maggie will assess the groups ability to determine how difficult she makes the dances!

Greek dancing is one the most well-known of non-british national folk styles and includes many fairly easy dances. Many of the greek dances are done in a line which is led the experts followed by people arranged in order of ability. Hence everyone can join in albeit right at the end of the line! Maggie prefers the more restrainted dances so expect a gentle to moderate exercise level. We will have morning and afternoon tea breaks and an hour's lunch break (approc 12:30-1:30). Tea, coffee and fruit juice will be provided.

Directions: Enter Bognor on the Axx and turn west onto a non-existant road, School Lane is nth on the left. There is plenty of parking outside the hall. From the station turn left, past the cinema and find the non-existant road.

Cost: £10 - book in advance
