The Downsway Playford Club was formed specifically for Dick Reed to teach Playford style dances,
although since Dick's heart attack in 2003, the calling has been shared with John Portlock.

Sompting Village Morris are a traditional English morris side, made up of a gentlemens side, a ladies side and
various musicians and dance many morris traditions including Cotswold, Sussex, North West, and Border Morris. They also
have a Tipteerers side who, at various times, perform the Sompting Mummers Play. They also have the Sompting Vagabonds
who can provide music, songs, dancing and other entertainments for social occasions.

The Sussex Folk Orchestra are group of muscians who meet to play traditional and contemporary folk music from around the world.
The instruments played include guitars, mandolins,bouzouki, fiddles, accordians, melodians, concertinas, recorders, flutes, whistles, bodhrans and cellos.
They play at barn dances, garden parties and other social functions.
