International Folk Dance Holidays

Bognor Regis International Dance Ensemble

This section covers some of our personal holidays which have a folk-dance flavour as well as one that B.R.I.D.E. officially went on :-

1) Christmas YU-Folk Festival, Belgrade, 24 Dec 2001 - 2 Jan 2002 (See our photos from the Christmas YU Folk Festival Belgrade 2001/2 Photographs)
The two of us travelled to Belgrade for a seminar organised by friends of Ciga and attended by people from all over Europe.

2) Song and Dance at Lake Ohrid, Aug 1 - 12, 2005
Grown-up members of B.R.I.D.E. joined other English dancers as well as a large Dutch contingent to learn Macedonian dancing in a hotel on Lake Ohrid just a few hundred yardsaway from Tito's old summer residence

3) Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Wales, July 7 - 11, 2009 (See our photos from the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod 2009)
We applied, never thinking we would be selected but they liked our video, so off we went with a small team of dancers and an even smaller band.
